Syed Zulqarnain Gilani
DAAD AInet Fellow (Edith Cowan University, 2023)
Dr Syed Zulqarnain Gilani is a Senior Lecturer and Raine Robson Fellow in the School of Science at Edith Cowan University (ECU), Perth, and a member of its Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. His research advances explainable artificial intelligence, computer vision and medical image analysis, with a focus on non-invasive, low-cost ways to predict medical conditions. He received his PhD from the University of Western Australia in 2018.
He was selected as a DAAD AInet Fellow in the April 2023 cohort (Generative Models in Machine Learning) and visited the lab in Bonn in September 2023.
