Abstract

This collaboration contributes to the development of international guidelines, evaluation frameworks, and best practices for trustworthy artificial intelligence in medical imaging and clinical decision support. Within the FUTURE-AI consortium, I contributed to survey- and consensus-driven publications synthesizing methodological, clinical, and regulatory perspectives on reliability, safety, fairness, and clinical validation of AI systems. The resulting publications define actionable evaluation criteria, identify common failure modes, and propose harmonized reporting and validation standards that support responsible clinical translation.

Perspective

Engagement in the FUTURE-AI consortium supports sustained international community-building and contributes to the maturation of evaluation standards for medical AI. Ongoing activities focus on refining guidelines and aligning academic research with emerging regulatory and translational requirements.
