I was one of 23 fellows of the second cohort of the European Talent Academy (TUM, Imperial College London and Politecnico di Milano), themed “Artificial Intelligence as a key enabling technology to empower society? A European approach on excellence and trust to boost research”, with a cohort meeting in Brussels.

I was one of 23 fellows selected for the second cohort of the European Talent Academy, a joint initiative of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and its partners Imperial College London and Politecnico di Milano (PoliMi), organised by the TUM Brussels Office. Our cohort’s theme was “Artificial Intelligence as a key enabling technology to empower society? A European approach on excellence and trust to boost research.”

The academy brings early-career researchers closer to European research policy: its modules cover EU funding, international research collaboration, career development and communicating research to different audiences, including policymakers. In May 2022 the cohort met in Brussels, where the photo was taken in front of the European Parliament.
