I very much enjoyed the two days at the International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV) in the lovely Paris πŸ‡«πŸ‡·. I met a couple of students, colleagues and friends who are coming from Stanford πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ, Imperial πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§, Google and ETH Zurich πŸ‡¨πŸ‡­, and TU Munich, UniBonn, and University of Potsdam πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ! We discussed the possibilities of collaboration and exchange that might happen in the future!

David is currently a PhD candidate supervised by Prof. Dr. Shadi Albarqouni. He earned his master’s degree in AI from FIB, which is a joint program of UPC, UB, and URV. In 2019, he achieved the top spot in the SIIM-ISIC competition for skin lesion classification and has published his work at VISAPP 2023. David has a keen interest in utilizing technology for the betterment of society and intends to make contributions to AI in the field of medicine through his work at Albarqouni Lab.

Razieh Rezaei

Researcher

Razieh is currently working as an ML researcher at Prof. Dr. Shadi Albarqouni’s lab. She earned her Master’s degree in Computational Science and Engineering from TU-Munich. While pursuing her Master’s, she completed an internship at BMW, where she worked on ML projects, and concurrently conducted her thesis in AI. Later, she worked at LMU-Klinikum as an AI researcher working on the medical applications of Graph Neural Networks, Transformers, and Explainable AI. She aspires to have meaningful contributions to the intersection of AI and medicine while working at Albarqouni Lab.
