Over the past two days, we had the pleasure of hosting our SANAD symposium on AI in Medicine and Food Sciences within the framework of the DAAD Ta’ziz project, welcoming a delegation from Tunisia, Lebanon, and Iraq.

The symposium brought together colleagues from Universitätsklinikum Bonn, The University of Bonn, and our partner universities in the MENA region: Lebanese American University, University of Tunis El Manar, and Duhok Polytechnic University. Together, we focused on strengthening academic cooperation, interdisciplinary exchange, and capacity building under the SANAD vision.
We extend our gratitude to Prof. Björn Krüger for his excellent keynote, to all speakers and participants for their contributions, and to our dedicated team for their support.
Special thanks to Dr. Ismail Acir and his team for co-organizing and hosting the Food Sciences Day with great hospitality.
Beyond the academic program, our delegation enjoyed a rich cultural experience — from the Christmas market in Bonn to the Chocolate Museum and the Cologne Cathedral.
We look forward to building on these connections and continuing our collaboration.
